Electrical Project Engineer - Windfarms

The position would best suit engineers with experience of Electrical Engineering and Project Management. You will need to have proven Electrical Engineering experience with Controls and High Voltage equipment. Experience with wind farm projects is not a necessity but would be advantageous.

The role will require frequent trips to Ireland during winter months, with less travel in warmer times of the year.

Experience working with National Grid Codes would be required, experience with Eirgrid grid codes would be very advantageous.

You will need to have:

A good team playing skills, someone who enjoys working with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds.Good organisational skills with the ability to; design, plan, coordinate and execute complex tasks.An understanding of HV and LV wiring systemsAn understanding or SCADA control systems

Technical knowledge of the Irish and UK Grid code requirements

The ability to understand complex electrical drawings, and act as technical support to the service and project team. ( If you do not know the answer to a technical question you must need to be able to find the answer out independently)An individual with good communication skills who is comfortable in front of customers and suppliers.An ability to develop effective working relationships with the various decision makers within the relevant utilities.An ambitious individual who is keen to take on new skills and develop their career and who is able to put in the time and effort required to develop into this role.An individual who is able to travel as required by the role..
