Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent
Reporting to the Maintenance and Projects Manager, the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent is accountable for the surface and underground fixed plant engineering and maintenance programmes. The role is responsible for ensuring that all such work is conducted in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner whilst minimising the impact on production and ensuring compliance with NTO standards and statutory obligations. The position will also act on behalf on the Maintenance Manager when not on site.
Key Accountabilities include:
The development of work plans and goals for the work unit from a strategic focus.Achieving these plans and goals through ongoing monitoring of progress.Overview of scheduling and allocation of staff and resources to ensure all work orders are completed in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.Providing input into the strategic planning process for all underground and surface fixed plant assets.Ensure there are long term planning and scheduling strategies to minimise backlog, utilising effective component condition monitoring techniques.Maintain and utilise planning attainment KPI’s to continuously improve maintenance and planning practices.Planning the life cycle management using a full suite of Asset Management skillsMonitoring and reporting on Work Management KPI's and compliance to Work Management processes , Manage all Fixed Plant assets underground and surface in accordance with Newmont Asset Management strategies and plans.Continually revise plant maintenance strategies to ensure optimum equipment performance and cost.
The major challenge is to ensure the optimum performance of Surface and Underground Fixed plant assets through strategically managed maintenance programs that minimise impact on production.
Tertiary Qualification – Engineering Degree or similar 5 - 10 Years Fixed Plant experience Significant Supervisory experience High level of communication skills – verbal and written.Strong working knowledge of budget and cost control in a process environment.
