Essential Job Functions
Direct and supervise the mechanical crews on construction sites
Prepare RFIs as required and follow-up to the engineering department
Produce red-line drawings to incorporate work changes
Generate material take offs and material requests when necessary
Oversee the installation of technical mechanical and piping systems, including but not limited to:
Static equipment installation
Enclosed engines and stack erection, free turbines, main and auxiliary electric generator, main (GSU) and auxiliary transformers (UAT) erection
Auxiliaries installation including: engines’ start pac, lube oil skid, water wash skid, NOx reduction skid, heat exchanger, fin fan coolers, gas scrubber, water and fuel filter housing, water strainer, water and fuel pump skids, fiber glass tanks, steel tanks, auxiliary generator package, fire protection skids (water and foam), fire protection cabinets (deluge), hose cabinets (water), hydrants and water monitor for firefighting
Water treatment system, chemical injection unit, water softener, EDI units, and backwash units
Rotating equipment installation
Centrifugal, vertical, sump, submersible pumps
Exhaust and roof top fan
Fuel-polish equipment (centrifuges skid)
Screw and reciprocating type air compressor package
Pipe installation
Manual and mechanical excavation, backfill, soil compact and test, concrete cutting
Steel, stainless steel, and cement lines pipes including accessories, supports, hangers, and guides
Victaulic, high density polypropylene pipes including accessories, support, hanger and guides
Pipe coating, pipe paint, pipe poliken installation, cathodic protection
Concrete pipe and hubs for storm system
Pipe saddle installation and hot tap
Pipe line identification (service and flow direction), equipment identification
Structural steel erection, including but not limited to:
Shelter/Building erection including doors, windows, gates, siding installation, isolation and roof installation, air conditioner and ducts installation
Equipment platforms installation (steel, grating or fiber glass), steel walkways erection, equipment stairs, caged ladder fabrication/installation
General propose sign installation (fire, exit, warning, etc.)
Qualifications
5+ years direct work experience as General Foreman or Superintendent in a power plant environment
The ability to exhibit technical leadership and have experience with team building, process improvement, conflict resolution, and motivating peopleExperience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentPossess strong communications and organizational skillsTechnical competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Management of union labor a plus
Be knowledgeable of single or double crane heavy lift procedures up to 200 tons
Have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
